And the Futsal Event Closes!

To all those that attended or participated the event on 1st October, I am sure you know the results! The winning teams are as followed:

Champion: Team Sahand


1st Runner-Up: Team Elastico

2nd Runner-Up: Team Tornadoz






Just in case you didn't know who or what they were up against, just a little info here, there were 15 teams that entered the competition! So, yeah, I bet that all 3 teams went through blood, sweat and tears just to place in the top 3. The event began at 10.30 am, the Quarter Finals at 12.10pm , the Semi Finals at 12.40 pm, and the Finals at 1.10pm. The prize giving was at 1.40pm. Here are some pictures of the event.

Futsal Tourney

To all you football junkies, we have answered your call!!!! As we speak, the Council is busy organizing an opened futsal tourney!! Now I know this is last minute, but the tourney is tomorrow!! Or, on the 1st of October.

The details are:
Your team can consist up to 8 members.
The price is RM 200 PER team, so that means that it is RM 25 per person.
It is held at the Sport Planet near Monash -U
The time is from 10-4pm
The prize is RM 1000 for 1st, RM 500 for 2nd , RM 300 for 3rd

Cultural Night poster and Audition!

Hey students!

As you can see, all the details are already on the poster..so, if you need anything else..just look at the poster much more closely...or contact us!!

Well, you would be glad to know that the currently, we are holding an audition on the 14th of September to get in some performers in this prestigious event!! So , if you have talent...do come and show us!! It will be held at the power studio in the Student's Centre!

Cultural Bazaar, Night and Week!

Hello fellow students of Sunway University, the next upcoming project organised by the Sun-U Student Council ( Us) is the Cultural Bazaar, Cultural Week and the Cultural Night! Here is the gist of what's going on.

The Cultural Bazaar is basically, tons of students and booths around the Student Centre and the Energy Hub which are going to be set up to showcase the different backgrounds and ethnics of the cultures of the students in the university. It is being held in conjunction with Cultural Week, which is to prepare the students for the Cultural Night! This is from the 19th -23rd of September.

On the 23rd of September, from 7.30pm - 10.00pm, the Cultural Night will commence. Several VIPS will be attending as well as council members from various other universities such as Taylor's. During the time frame, performances will be held to entertain our guests.Light refreshments will also be given to the guests.

All in all, please do come to our events organized as YOU make it all the more happier and interesting. We hope to see you there!

Executive and Volunteers post deadline!

To all those that are interested to join as an executive member or as a volunteer for the Sunway Student Council, please take note that the forms can be obtained by asking any of the directors. The deadline for submitting the forms is on the 22nd of July. Hurry! Be part of the council now!

Seed Planting Event from June 20th - 21st

60 pots filled with gravel, fertilizer, seeds from various plants, and special, handwritten messages were sold in just 2 days! Each pot cost RM 3 , inclusive of the above items. What a steal! The event was held on the Monday June 20 at 9.00 AM, and it ended on the following day! Thanks to all the students who bought the seeds and wrote 'thoughtful' messages. You really are GREEN WARRIORS !
